James Roberts Elegant Chaos Interview Transcript From TransMissions Episode 94

We recently had the chance to do another interview with James Roberts discussing his comic series More Than Meets The Eye, and in particular the Elegant Chaos story that finished with issue #38.  Below is a full transcript of this interview for your reading pleasure. Once again we wish to express our utmost thanks and appreciation for the time and effort put in by Marian Hilditch (@MMortAH) in transcribing the interview! Supporting TransMissions

As TransMissions has been getting more popular, we’ve had a number of people asking how they can help support the show. We have had prizes donated for some of the contests we’ve had, but we wanted to offer people an easier way to help support us and I wanted to talk about what we’re doing. While our podcast is free to listen to, we do have costs that we’ve been paying for out of pocket (like web hosting). We’d like to help offset some of those costs and also improve the equipment we use to record the show. Patreon is a site that has become very popular with podcasters over the past couple years. It’s much like Kickstarter, but is used for supporting ongoing projects like podcasts, comics, etc. We are starting out small but if it becomes popular we’re hoping to add additional levels and goals. We’ve had a… Continue reading

James Roberts Interview Transcript From TransMissions Episode 75

Back in October 2014 at TFcon USA in Chicago, we had the chance to sit down with James Roberts, writer of the IDW Transformers comic More Than Meets The Eye.  You can listen to the whole interview in Episode 75. Recently a few folks on the TFW2005 message boards in the Transformers Comics Discussion section asked if we could provide a transcript of the interview for future reference.  This is a time and labor-intensive process, so we owe a huge debt of thanks to Mort from the TFW2005 boards (AKA Marian Hilditch (@MMortAH)) for helping us make the transcript.  It’s a really interesting interview, and we hope this helps more people get access to it.  Enjoy! Bring Back the Transformers Generation One Cartoon as a New IDW Comic

SIGN THE PETITION if you want to see a new IDW Transformers comic based on the G1 Cartoon Universe! Listen to our conversation with IDW artist Casey Coller and writer/colorist John-Paul Bove, who inspired Yoshi to start this campaign! Image by Todd Ferguson, who is creating his own G1 Cartoon Universe fan comic here. This is an example of what could be! Ever since IDW Publishing ended the original Marvel Transformers comic book storyline with Transformers: Regeneration One, earlier this year, we’ve been left without any Generation One comics to read. Not only do fans miss having a Generation One comic book, but comic book artists miss having one as well. Two artists who’ve been missing a Transformers book for G1ers are John-Paul Bove (Writer and Colorist) and Casey Coller (Comic Book Artist). They not only miss having a Generation One comic book to read, they have expressed their personal… Continue reading

One Year Anniversary Windblade Contest

UPDATE OCTOBER 6, 2014: The contest is now closed.  Thanks to everyone who entered!  The winner will be announced on a future show! The TransMissions podcast has been around for one full year!  Can you believe that?  Who would have thought that a random email from Jeremy one year ago would have started all of us all down this Transformium road of goodness? Looking back on the first year we’re all amazed that this project even worked.  It had everything going against us.  We didn’t know each other.  We didn’t know how to record a podcast.  We didn’t know what was acceptable or not.  We still don’t.  But in a lot of ways that’s also why TransMissions has been so successful.  Four guys who didn’t know each other get along so well because of our shared love for Transformers.  Four guys who had never recorded a podcast before were able… Continue reading

Welcome to the new TransMissions website! As we close in on the end of our first year, TransMissions has blown past any expectation that we had for it. Thank you to all of our listeners and viewers.  All of your comments, tweets, and reviews mean so much to us and keep us going. Thanks also to 80sTees.com too for their support of our show. When you buy something from them, make sure they know how much we think they rock! Finally many thanks to Charles, Darryl, and Yoshi for blindly jumping into this with me. It’s been a ton of fun! Looking forward to year two, we are hoping to have many more exciting things in store. We already plan to have more interviews and fun surprises. We also are discussing other ways for you to help out our show. Stay tuned for those, but we also want to know what… Continue reading
