Well this took me a while, and by this time I’m sure i late to this game and Its happened or not…but I felt this needed to be said by me:

My Personal pros and cons with the Haslab’s Unicron
    (this is completed on 8.28.19)

    Pros:
Looks good, aside from the “cartoon physics EX: you can draw a transformation and FUDGE it, REAL physics are not as forgiving ”, I kinda retcon it in my head as how he would transform in the movie if Flero Dery would had made a workable transformation scheme way back then, but the again perhaps he did not think ahead like Alex Millne
The arm transformation is cool BUT points deducted for the non movie leg transformation…BUT ill give it a pass due to “cartoon physics” again
The removable head and swappable faceplates are a plus, but I wonder if those were a later add on?
Flint asked john and from what I heard not at that announcement time on the 15th of July

    The In-betweens:
The size over all, I don’t feel its that its really needed to be that big, scale has to me never been a focus on Hasbro too often, BUT there definitely going big!!
    The swappable chin?….ummmm…..

    Cons:
Its close to the 87 movie in both modes, but not quite there…id say its about 80-85% for me,mostly due to the outer ring spikes add ons, and the Planet kibble storing on the back and legs. And yes I know its hard to be retroactive with “cartoon physics…again”
But id hope they would make it so the “Planet kibble” could be removed, but as of what I’ve heard now…no..
(If I think hard about it in SURE there’s a TF with alt mode parts that cant be used or part of the robot mode)
I REALLY feel that the planet mode detail is FAR too symmetrical, the details are mirrored on both sides I’m sure that’s due to the manufacturing process, but they strayed away from that with Cybertron primus and did Asymmetrical details on it. the “maw ring/ planet crushing jaws” area is TOTALLY Asymmetrical, so why cant the rest follow suit?
The outer ring it is the same but flipped, but I get why, but I wished it would not had all the new spikes, but again,” cartoon physics”…
The removable face plates are good, but the “Cron o lantern” I feel over all was not a great feature to sell us to, BUT its good that there doing something with the area behind the face,so ill give them some cred for that..
The colors seem to be ..off.. too yellow and too blue, Radio Free Cybertrons John Deluna’s Photshop pics on Twitter gave me chills seeing it, and HE NAILED that color spot on!!
I don’t think the mini Galvatron was really needed too be Included, too big in the first place, Hasbro if your going with size you need to play somewhat close to scale with the ‘86 movie…
NOW IF you had a panel to open up with his ship he got from Unicron, that to me seem to be a better idea!

    Doubts:
I think this would be cool , but I would like to see the interior of the planet shell parts to have some details on the inside to it as well, I don’t care too much for the “blank support lines/ grid”, I hope they do some details there too
If the “crusher jaws/Plates” could also move behind the outer jaws, now that would be all out for that feature!
I don’t understand how the “jump” happened earlier this past week, and if these are the online retailers are indeed a part of that , warden said that would not count toward the 8000 goal count…so what gives??!

    My final thoughts:
I’ve listened to Transmissions, Moonbase 2,Radio free Cybertron,TFW 2005, Nerd Rage Radio
(Thanks bobby for listing/advising me about all of this haslab stuff) and some other TF related pod casts about all of this…
And in the end, I’m very….Tri-flicted, and here’s why:

    If it
A comes out and I get it
B comes out and I DON’T get it
    C does not get funded
    ….
A1 I get it and im happy with it…?
A2 I get it and im not happy with it, ill keep everything with it and I try to sell it later, it being a limited and pricy item I should not have too much of an issue with that down the road

    B1 I don’t get it and I’m happy with it…?
B2 I don’t get it and I Regret it, and maybe try to track it down , but at a higher cost..

C1 it doesn’t happen, and joins with all the other Unicron Prototypes that never came out?
C2 it comes out in a different avenue, but haslab said that would not happen…but I wonder….could it come out some other way????

As of now I do plan to back it, but I do have my thoughts over all about it, I just wish I did not have all of them…

    Thank you for your time,
    Duel Mirrored Gridwork
