Episode 290 – It’s Not The Years, It’s The Mileage

   For the Transmissions 5 year anniversary:

   I thought a poem would do, but I’m pretty taxed this weekend and I’ll make the time to do a “short bit”,I feel it’ll do just the same..

   Here are some of my favorite things/ parts that come to my mind over the last 5 years:

   C-beast:
   his toy knowledge,3 party info,”dekals”,”Texas and Russian” yoshi,and his banter with the real article,the “Daryl complete” term

   Yakko:
   for getting the awesome show together in the first place, his love of the tf train set (would like to see him do a review on it someday),the sound board hijinks

   Yoshi:
   his love of rubber tires,g-1fanboy-ism,his swearing (in which I look forward to revive in person someday), table flipping,banter with C-beast…(natch)…

   Big C:
   his comic book reviews,keeping histoys/ boxes sealed/in mint condition,THE VOICE,the hugs he give if he still does (I’m good with a firm hand shake first till a little later) and I’ll ad lib just a bit here:
   “Primus damm it yoshi!!”
   (If i could have a sound bite with that enthusiasm, That would make a great ringtone I feel!!)

   Snazzy Mike:
   the effort he has been editing the show as long as he has, and his contributions,and to the show in other ways and forms

   And the sometimes guest host when there on from time to time…
   (Got to figure out a way to somehow to get that off my urn list someday)

   Jason Kirk, got any suggestions?

   Collectively:
   Everyone for there marvel comic nostalgia (I know that’s something I keep close to my vest)
   The toy memories we all seem to share/have together,
   The love of the shows,in which some are good, and then some that are less desired…
   And I still feel the chemistry of the show is what sets you all apart,yes there’s shows I’ve listened to longer and shorter (and still will always love them),but I feel yours has the best balance of chemistry overall.

   Even though I did not win for the anniversary contest…a bit of a sad “panda-tron” there..”sniff”..(but to be honest, there was little I wanted from the giveaway sets/or that I did not already have, I feel they were still Very,VERY stellar in there gatherings /groupings!!), and I feel I’m already a winner of the show every week when I download and listen to it.

   …Congrats to the winners B.T.W.!!…

   I guess what I’m trying to say is,
   Even though it’s been 5 years (it does not feel like it to me),I’ve enjoyed all the shows and reviews both of the comics,toys and of persons that you’ve done.
   The feedback section is wonderful to hear from others fans of the show..
   (Especially when it’s been a half an hour from a certian fan),

   …”ahem”…,
   …what are we talking about?….

   ..Oh yes..

   I look forward to Wednesday and Friday mornings to download the shows..
   (I’d participate in the discord chat to listen on Sunday, but my work schedual makes that hard to do,and
   3:15 am comes early in the morning after all)
   I’m proud to be a “donaterion” (hope I got that right) and to be a “transmissionite/transmitter” (was that ever figured or BTW?)

   So in closeing,
   I truely hope to meet you all in person someday (and for that day I’m sure the TF scale topic will come up at least a “few dozen times”) and here’s to another 5 years and beyond!!
   I want a table flip yoshi, card or otherwise!!

   P.s. thanks for your help in my “missing issues crisis”,if you have any other suggestions (Im still putting my list/resources contacts together) that would be even more helpfull!
