  1. Being as my namesake is getting a Masterpiece treatment, I figured I had better sound off on him.
I LOVE THE ROBOT MODE!!!! It looks very show accurate. I was all giddy as a school girl when I saw the images of his robot mode. It just looks sooo swweeeettt.
The level of detail on him is just so …well , that’s just prime! Dinobot has been so badly represented in toy form. For being such a fan favorite character , he sure did get the short end of the stick in the figure department. Everything about the robot mode , just makes me want the figure more and more. With his eye lasers , Golden Disc , the display mount, and the rest makes for a very impressive robot mode.

As for his Dino mode. I am fine with it. Granted yes it could have been better but it also has some good detail work. It does look very show accurate despite all the panels. The panels I can deal with as well. You have to have some issues with a figure who with his kind of transformation. I think the best part of the Dino mode is of course his raptor head with all the expression you are able to do with it. To be able do expressions with not only the eyes but with the tongue as well, I kind of feel makes up for the panels.

Here is my question for you guys about him. Do you feel Hasbro / Takara like to work more toward making a certain mode look better then the other for the reason that they know most fans / collectors will display them in that mode over the other? This goes even for 3rd party companies as well.

Also considering that DInobot with have his spinning shield and eye lasers, do you think that his sword will have the rotating pieces in it as well? Maybe not battery powered or anything to move but maybe where you can move it with your hand?

Lastly as for his Price point. For me my heart and wallet are breaking. I had hoped to try and get about 3 is these over time for obvious reason. 1 to display in robot mode , 1 in DIno mode, and 1 to keep in box. But considering a $250 price tag for each …well I think my wallet just committed suicide. But is this really such a bad thing price wise? In a market where we have 3rd party figures who prices are all over the place in so cases. Especially on the aftermath of a MP Omega Supreme whose 2 parts were at the $500 range. Now I am not saying we are all made of $$$ and could pay for these figures like it pocket change. I know seeing this price and with any figure in general people are going to shop around and find this or any other figure they are looking for at the time at a lower price at some website , store , or any other way. Most of my MP collection is KOs , and I am fine with those. I may at some time and at the right price get the main version, but for now they are good for my collection. And speaking on KO , with the recent release of the KO MP Megatron being under $100 do you see more people waiting for the KO of Dinobot for the price than those who shop around and get him at his release? Also what do you predict his KO Price will be? Also speaking on KO I haven’t noticed and KO versions of MP Optimus Primal and Cheetor , have they been released? I personally will still try and get at least one official version of Dinobot. But it all will be decided on or around his release.

Keep up the great work guys and I am sorry for such a lengthy comment about DInobot. But I had to say something about my Namesake.
