I don’t think Quickswitch ever appeared in the season 5 animation. He was just mentioned by Powermaster Optimus Prime when talking to Tommy Kennedy. Sadly most of those clips keep getting blocked on Youtube. He also appeared in the animated segments of commercials for the toys. One appearance of Quickswitch you forgot to mention is that he starred in one of the UK Ladybird Transformers audiobooks. It’s set on the planet Nebulos in the 5th year of the toy line. It’ s an amazing look at where the TV show might have gone if they had been continued. I put a copy of the story on youtube. Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRanwrtCMIg
There are several third party Transformers who share names with Transformers characters… but oddly they are all names of character they are not homages to… For instance Headrobots made their version of Fortress Maximus called Stronghold. There is a Mini-Con named Stronghold. There are several others like this.
Hasbro’s last use of the name Slag was when they were releasing the slideshow images of the upcoming Transformers Animated figures just before the series came out. The slide for the triceratops Dinobot called him Slag, but when the toy came out 2008 they had changed the name on the box to Snarl.
I watched She Wolf of London in the 1990s too. You guys must be young to have watched it as kids.
I want to say thank you guys so much for the shout out that made my day! And should I be terrified that I’m on Yoshi’s list? Also Yoshi gushing over G1 stuff like that, made me laugh so hard people around me at my work were looking at me like I was a psychopath, Thanks Yosh, you’re the best!
Also if I may to correct you guys on thing. Cubrar is suppose to be an homage to is the Fall Of Cybertron Slag (I know his name is Slug, but Slag just sounds way better). Slag’s suppose to be a Triceratops but looking at the frill He is more of a Chasmosaurus, basically a dinosaur that looks like a Triceratops but with more of a boxier frill/crest. (Sorry for the educational mini rant, I am a bit of a dinosaur nut and studies Paleontology)
