Hey guys,
I dont mind which shown this nends up
On…just getting that out of the way.
I want to say I’ve been “out of sorts” with the last couple of weeks with the recent holiday time,I had a real bad…incident..around thanksgiving which could had turned out FAR WORSE than it did, but I’ve learned from it and I’m making distance with it now and “keep moving forward” with life…thankfully I can.
Big C, I don’t mean/aim to jump on this “band wagon”, but before all that went on with me, (and me being late to respond to it) I’ve wanted to say how/I’m VERY proud of your viewpoint you spoke of politically recently, some people just get offended easier than others,I was not one of those eather way, before or with what you said after.
I sadly lost a long time (and fellow TF fan) friend,Tim Heeter to Covid -19 this year,he was not family or anything like that, but he was my friend since my teenage years, and I’m truly sad about his passing,,but also my additional regret is that we did not stay in touch with each other as often/well as we should had before hen passed away..
..And I’ll take that regret to my Urn..
So if people get upset that you speak your mind over how sad this world is with its current sad state of politics/covid-19 affairs….
$%#/ ’em!!…Facts are facts…
So with that texed,my show related topic is:
With all the past issues scale (yes ,I went there..AGAIN),I ponder not with the cybertronian scale (thought they DO take up a good amount of my time on that topic),but I always wonder the size of planet Cybertron itself,For the marvel comic they state it out as Saturn sized flat out on page one.
But the G1 cartoon I surmised it being smaller than earth but a bit bigger that the moon, and years later the internet confirmed this with an ’86 movie scale chart..but that same movie also has Unicron comming up to the planet just a bit taller/shorter that its pole to pole diameter..and then later he shown standing “I was in the galactic dryer to long” on the same planet,MUCH smaller than when he first appeared approaches cybertron.
If you’ve not guessed by now, scale is very much a keystone in my hobby life.
And this movie is just one example..so I wonder how often they pay attention to that sort of thing..not only to the individual characters ,but to larger items such as planets..I’ve seen where Unicron is supposed to be saturn sized (your gonna need more room Big C!!)
But I wonder if (or how often) do pay attention to that sort of details?
Even TF Prime stated “Cybertron is bigger than the Earth”by Ratchet…
I get that it’s a show to sell a product/toys,but the lore and show/story telling/facts build up that drive to somewhat a degree I feel..I get it that there are “goof ups and inconsistencys” from time to time, but some people DO pay attention to the details..
C Beast, thank you for going over some of the details over your recent “planet sized” purchase,I’ve wanted to know how the transformation process worked for that, and from what ive have observed it seems like theres some breakage issues with all the reviews I’ve read/heard..so unless I find it for a good price im willing to pay,or a good used one much later,I’m going to wait or pass for the time being…but do you feel the breakage factor is/was acceptable for that high of a priced toy/figure?
Finally,I too miss Yoshi but I do understand why things are as they currently are,I’ve recently learned (now more recently ever more so) that you need to enjoy the “here and now”, becuse it never comes the same again,as Mr.Spock said:
“Change is an essential part of all existence”…
…How true those words are…
Thank you Transmissions cast, for what you do for your fans… especially during these tough times we currently have to navigate thru.
