Dear Transmissions
In episode 319 of our favorite Transformers podcast an integral member of the Transmissions team was given fair criticism for his prodigious use of foul language. I must confess I’m not sure why this is such a sore spot for me but I felt compelled to write in nonetheless. Let me preface my argument by saying that I-like Jeremy and Charles-fall in the conservative camp regarding expletive-filled verbal expression. (But when I do throw down, boy you better watch yourself…)
However, I can not and will not stand by and allow any listener to suggest that any member of the Transmissions team adjust their personality to appease said listener (or even other like-minded listeners). The truth is neither the wonderful folks at Transmissions or any other publicly broadcast program will ever be able to completely satisfy or not offend their audience. I can respect that we all have different sensibilities and such but above all I respect that the dudes at Transmissions have put forth the effort to create this truly remarkable podcast.
In the few years that I’ve been listening, not only have they given us hours of hilarious content with great guests but they’ve even thought to include us in contests, giveaways, and goodies. This shows that you care about your listeners and we appreciate it. So should Yoshi or anyone else involved with Transmissions have to censor themselves because ANYONE has an issue with colorful language? FUCK NO!!! I’ve followed a few other Transformers podcasts and I can’t think of one who a.) doesn’t pepper their language with curse words b.) is not targeting an adult audience. Like Yoshi said, the explicit tag is well advertised on their media to denote this. Warning taken.
Guys, this is your show and I for one am glad that you run it the way so see fit. You’re without a doubt, my favorite Transformers podcast and I hope you keep it that way.
