A couple of things I want to mention. I remember picking this book up from a local Shopette (military 7-11 ) , and thinking OMG did they just bring Prime back just to have him killed by Megatron ????? Good thing it was such a misleading cover!!
I also want to put in a correction for Charles!!! I am sure this will make Yoshi Happy due to getting to correct Charles twice in one episode. Granted this isn’t a major correction but still MICHAEL DORN IS NOT EMMISARY IN THE NEW SERIES!!! He is Fortress Maximus , it is Jason David Frank (the almighty Green , White , Red , Black Ranger) who is.
I also want to say to JPB that his idea of the VIsionaries and Transformers is one I would have loved to read. I love crossovers. If they are good or bad it is interesting to see the universes of 2 fan favorite series being brought together. I liked the way they brought MASK into the Transformers universe and showed how they got the tech for MASK . If you remember back in G2 (Yoshi should remember this he just reviewed it) Hotspot spoke of how Optimus was worried about so many things with the Transformers being on Earth. Aside from the fact of putting humanity in danger from their war, but also their tech making mankind evolve before they were meant to. When I first read that it really made me think of how the Transformers affected things for mankind. We have seen that in many issues in the Marvel run, and I think it is being brought more to the for front in the current IDW series. Adding the political and cultural , not to mention mankind’s basic feelings of the Transformers.
They basiclly took things that are happening in the real world and showing it in the comic world.
