when talking about what your combiner team name would be, all I could think of was “Transmissionaries”… lol
So Darryl I noticed that in almost every iteration of your show introduction it sounds like you’re channeling your best gay interior decorator. As awesome as that is I believe we can get you started on the path to a more culturally diverse as well as more varied way of introducing this great show. Here is a short list of “voices” that you might consider to change your delivery-and hopefully win Yoshi’s hard fought acceptance. Airline Captain/ Fast-Talking Auctioneer/ Wrestling Announcer/ Barry White/ Soft-Spoken NPR Host (I don’t know the Canadjhun equivalent.)/ Death Metal Vocalist/ OG G1Transformers Cartoon Announcer/ Breathy Adult Hotline Companion/ Insecticon Voice (With creepy word-repeating tick.)/ Stuffy British Masterpiece Theater Host/ Groundskeeper Willie/ Optimus Prime
I’m counting on you Darryl!
For the Grimlock magic card, there was a series that had double sided cards with wherewolves, or vampires, I forget.. maybe both. But you could change from a person, to one of the creatures. If was part of the theme for that year, so there were multiple cards. The way you got around it in your deck, like Darryl said, either use sleeves, or they had checklist cards with the magic backs, you checked who the card represents, a “proxy”, then when it comes out, you can then swap it for the double sided card. There was usually something that triggered the flipping over… kill someone, get a counter, get x counters, flip card over… I’m sure something similar is used for Grimlock…Defeat a creature, get an Energon counter, get x counters, transform Grimlock, lol.
Love the art… I’d just want the card and maybe some art prints to mount on the wall, 😀
