On the topic of the prototype of the Openplay Spring, You spoke of 3d printed prototypes. We often see these early in the development.
Then they make a injection mold, and then often after that they inject (often grey) plastic, which creates a “test shot”. If they use grey plastic this test shot is often described as a “prototype” in conversation by fans, but the grey prototype and the grey test shot are miles apart in development.
I think this Openplay Spring was a real 3d printed prototype, not the test shots we often call prototypes. Yes, real prototypes are often 3d printed, but 3d printing often varies WILDLY in quality and material. Sometimes it is easier to tell than others.
Take a look at the 3d printed prototype of Voodoo Robots Salus, the grey one at the bottom of this post. It seems to be 3d printed, then their test shot used blue plastic in the pictures above it. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/voodoo-robots-salus-ratchet-and-animus-ironhide.1042787/
I like the shattered glass Prime. Another Prime for me to pick up.
I hope they make the SG MP cassettes.
