So you are saying that the Iron Factory Drift and Deadlock are “exactly the same”, except for color, molding and transformation…. isn’t that like a figure you find at Value Village being “complete”, except it’s missing it’s missiles, guns and one arm…
I do believe someone at Takara decided to “leak” images of a MP Megatron just as Maketoys and DX9 were releasing their toys. Didn’t they do the same with Inferno and Ironhide basically?
If Hasbro is making a Leader Class Black Shadow, I expect it to be a pretool for and IDW style Thunderwing.
Oh, and shut up with the GoBot faction symbol hate. I helped make those! They are actually based on the faction symbols that are on my Courageous and Grungy toys.
Funny how in feedback you comment how you don’t compare HasTak toys to third party when it comes to Overlord, but in this episode there was a whole topic about how the upcoming MP Megatron leak was done to undercut third party MP Megatron sales. They do seem to get compared.
Oh, isn’t there an Iron Factory Overlord coming too? Although it will be much smaller than the MMC, Hasbro and Toybase ones, so I could see how it isn’t going to be compared. Years without an Overlord toy, and now we are getting MANY Overlords.
PS – I’m honestly surprised that KFC didn’t turn their jet/tank cassette combiner mold into a tiny Overlord too. Well, that would be more of an Underlord.
I have the MMC Nova Prime and its one of my favorite figures to come out this year, the new “Nemesis Prime” colors look badass! I might have to double up
I figured it was supposed to be dead universe Nova Prime or somesuch. Meanwhile the original one can be Shattered Glass Nova Prime, since he is white and a good guy in Shattered Glass.

The evil Autobot warlord called Optimus Prime lead a surprise attack on Decepticon City on Earth. The Autobot attack force was turned away after a long fight, with Optimus Prime and several other Autobots severely injured.
They fled back to Cybertron on board their shuttle Sky Lynx. The humble Autobot shuttle informed the Autobots inside that they had to jettison some weight or they would never make it back to Cybertron. The backstabbing Rodimus decided that best course of action was to chuck the injured out an airlock, including Optimus Prime.
Floating helplessly through space Optimus Prime, Brawn, Prowl, Ratchet and Inferno were recovered by the immense Chaotic Good Transformers planet known as Unicron. Unicron offered them a deal, to remake them in his image. Optimus Prime accepted, and was reformatted into a white knight by the healing light of Unicron, curing him of his madness. He was dubbed Nova Prime, commander of the Knights of Unicron, and became the protectors of all things good and true…
At least that’s how it happened in the Shatteredverse! Other universes may vary slightly. 😉

God, hearing Darryl purposely(I think) mispronouncing Drift/Deadlock’s 3rd party names was painful. I know they’re Japanese, but come on.
I just get annoyed when EVERY podcast calls the KFC toy line “Eye Ah Vee Why Metal”, when it it simply pronounced like “heavy metal” in a Cockney accent!
Another great show guys and I love the fact that you are working to try and include us Patreons on Discord while you are recording the show. It is great to hear just what goes on when you record.
I mostly anted to ask you guys about the Toyhax/Reprolabels . I have bought from them a few time and in doing so spent quite a bit of money on orders. ( About $50-100 each time) ,but what I want to ask is how much are you wiling or think is a fair price to spend on a single figure in labels or even with upgrades for that matter? Being the Fortress Maximus set is $35 and you get the extra parts and considering how big Fort Max is, would that be about your limit for a label set? I will admit I have spent right about $100 upgrading CW Devastator getting both Perfect Effect upgrades. Granted I do plan to get the label set (as well as the one they have for Cerebros) no matter what plus I more than likely will pick up the DNA upgrades for Fort Max as well. So more than likely right at another $100 for upgrades for one figure. Do you guys think that is too much to spend or just right? Granted I know you can wait and more than likely get the upgrades at a later point for cheaper if you wait long enough.
I want to say something about the Combiner Wars series. I have yet to watch any of it , but I have seen some people have combined up the first few episodes into basiclly one. My question for you guys is this ….Considering there is only going to be 8 episodes in the series and when all 8 are released and someone cuts all 8 into 1, which I am sure someone will do , DO you think that if they ran together that your outlook of the show will be different. If all 8 are made into 1 40-45 minute episode/movie or oneshot do you think the story would flow better??
