Wait a minute, I was thinking….
am I the first one here,AWSOME !!!!
I thought vector prime was a member of the 13…?
Yes, he is. I looked it up after we recorded the show: http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Thirteen
As you said Apex and Geminus prices have shot through the roof. If anyone is interested though, the Auto Assembly exclusive recolors can still be found on ebay for the original price. They have weird colors, but also feature chromed weapons, something missing on the original run. http://www.ebay.com/itm/221934037341?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
Also, I had to laugh my ass off when one of the hosts started talking about having to invent new saws or cut wood with lasers to make the wood transformers. Yes, because no one had ever cut a wood into small shapes before I guess… You guys are hilarious! Keep it up! 😉
Hey Guys I have a couple of things to say about you talked about.
I do dig those “only human’ figures. My question though is the Dr Wu Spike and Sparkplug they did were thy articulated? Though I do wish they had some elbow and knee movement and maybe some wait as well.
I have the Hasbro Devestator and I may try and get the Takara one I just haven’t decided to spend the money for that or just pay roughly another 100 and get the upgrades and labels for the Hasbro.
Lastly I wanted to add the Daca Toys Kronos to the 3rd party recommendations. I (and dogcades as you know Beast) have him and love the guy. Lot of people put him down but he is really really good. Pictures don’t show the detail very well. He has great detail. Granted yes I know there was some problems with his release. I got mine from BBTS and I believe he was a second wave release for a couple of things. I know people had issues with his feet joints breaking. When I got mine I could tell there was a slight difference in the color of the white between the ankle joint and the main body. Plus he did have a little WD40 residue on it. Mine also have a broken finger and a scuff in the paint on his face. But BBTS great service replaced both parts for free, so it all good. I just honestly think Kronos gets alot of hate. What do you all think of Kronos and the issues he had on release?
Sup Dinobot?
We’ll answer this on the next Podcast.
I know deep throating is being elusive these days, but if they do show up next ep, I gotta know if they know whether or not hasbro or takara is working on a redeco of bruticus as Ruination from the original RiD cartoon. Like, all these g2 colors are nice, but I’d love to see Ruination get some love. I’d also be down with FoC wreckers version of Ruination getting made from these too, though since the subscription service is doing a non-torso Impactor already, im doubtful it’ll happen. Either one would have been better than the combiner they went with though to be honest…
Speaking of impactor, that 3rd party one has definitely been tempting me. If I had just a bit better of a budget, it might be my first 3rd party forray.
It was great to hear a shout out on waiting for the bus this morning!
Darryl was right that I never had G1 Blitzwing or Astrotrain – I cannot deny that they are great figures (die-cast construction truly is a lost art). I only ever had one triple-changer, Broadside. 🙁
Here’s a question for you – what was your worst toy — probably Blot for me
The Only human figures are pretty cool. Am I crazy if I get an April O’Neil-vibe off the Arcee?
I’m wondering if any companies would make MTMTE holomatter avatar figures?
I would buy the heck out of Whirl or Rodimus’ avatars.
Hello Cashie!
We’ll be talking about this on the next TransMissions.
Hey guys! Long time listener. Love the show and what you guys do every week. It’s the highlight of my commutes!
Just wanted to weigh in briefly on the MTMTE #47 issue of Cyclonus reaching for his sword. After reading the issue a few times, I came to the same understanding as you guys that it would be out of character to just suddenly grab the sword in that situation. Instead it looked to me that while to the security team it looked like he was going for the sword, Cyclonus instead was reaching to grab Tailgate, who was behind him at the time. Next frame shows Tailgate in front of him. So Cyclonus intended to grab Tailgate the entire time. Just my thought.
Anyways, keep up the good work and I’ll try and see if I can will myself to make an ITunes account for review, not the biggest fan of Apple…haha.
Hey Adrian!
Glad the four of us can make your commutes to and fro enjoyable.
As far as your observations about MTMTE #47, I’ll have to let Charles or Jeremy speak to that. Either here or maybe will bring it up on a future episode of TransMissions. But it’s an interesting observation.
I understand your reluctance to leave an iTunes review. Sadly, Apple has taken iTunes, which used to be small and elegant, and turned it into hardly usable bloat ware. Regardless, getting those reviews on iTunes, and Sticher help us out so much. We really appreciate any time you can devote to it.
Thank you, and have a safe Commute!
Hey guys!
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but in either this last episode or the previous one (I don’t remember which), someone mentioned the new designer of the MP figures. You were correct in saying that from MP 10 through… what, Wheeljack? I’m too lazy to check right now. Those were all Hasui designs. Then you said the following MPs were designed by Yuki – not the case. Yuki is fantastic and shares awesome stuff on Twitter, and I do believe he has a hand in designing things (sources needed), but the man behind MP Magnus, Tracks, Ironhide, and anything further for now, is a man by the name of Kobayashi. First or last name, I’m not sure – Japanese names are backwards from our Western names. Or are we backwards from their’s? Anyway, he was the dude who designed the first few MPs as well. I’m not sure if he did 1 through 9, or if there were exceptions in there (again, research needed, and I’m lazy), but I know he did MP-01. Possibly 09.
Anyways, I haven’t written in in awhile, but I’m still listening!
Also placed an order from Prime Toys. I’ll tweet a picture when it comes in. Part of it includes that White Prime. Darryl tweeted at me and said he felt like he was helping me buy drugs. I had a laughy at that (see what I did there?). I actually like that figure. Probably helps that I skipped Optimus and got Motormaster instead.
Anyway, love to you guys, and Happy Holidays – all of them, even the ones you may or may not celebrate!
