Hey gang, wow 101 eps and still chugging along, not to mention a 2ed ep in one week!?, to quote syndrome from the incredibles “awww,this is too good”!!
anyway by now everyone who reads my responses here and on twitter knows that i was not too happy with my contribution to this show, please allow me to explain:
1. it was late , and work was calling to me the next day, i got thru that part of it ok, but next hangout im gonna be more prepared for it.
2. my little gridlett is teething , so anyone whom has children know how well that can go i was downstairs and well i been told before big guy loud voice, and i woke her a little so that did not go so well here, she doing better but man teething thing, i’m glad i am done with that !!
3. i feel i showed off and ran (and yes timing had a part to do with it, but i really wanted to stay but work and it took A LONG TIME to get connected with you guys, i know next time (now on Fridays?sweet primus i hope so!!) that might be easier to ,do, ill just move to another room and be a bit quieter ,and show up on the meet up on time!!
well with that self burden off my shoulders i do look froward to this ep (not so much me but it will be neat to hear it, I DID MAKE IT after all on the show i asked for after all!) and i REALLY hope we do it again soon. i hope everyone enjoys it and i hope to a great weeknd for all ….as for me with this ep DLed, itll be a great start to my weekend….and i really need it too!

Wow there is a lot of hate there for the Joecon Stealth Battle Android Trooper. I think it’s the coolest JOE/TF crossover toy so far, since it’s a Joe character that actually transforms.
If they did a GI Joe/TF crossover toy line another option would be to have Transformers with Targetmasters or Headmasters where the head or gun was a GI Joe or Cobra character. I’d love to see a Targetmaster Jazz with his Targetmaster Rock & Roll, or Thundercracker with Targetmaster Wild Weasel.
That’s a really good story idea Mathew. One that would cause me to go back to ebay and hunt down all the G.I. Joe comics.
I can think of lots of TF/Targetmaster combinations that would work. How about Ratchet with Doc? Bombshell with Dr. Mindbinder? Hot Rod with Lt. Falcon? Seaspray with Shipwreck? Cliffjumper with Bazooka? Whirl with Wild Bill? Autobot Mainframe with Gi Joe Mainframe? The Combaticons with Destro and the Iron Grenadiers? Even just simple generics would work, like the Seacons with Eel Targetmasters.
You want to really blow the minds of collectors? Throw in some MASK and VENOM characters. How about Thundercracker with Targetmaster Miles Mayhem or Windcharger with Targetmaster Matt Trakker?
Hey Guys just want to say again that iust was such a blast to Hangout with you guys. I just love this Podcast and you guys are suck a great set of hosts that in my opinion the Transmissions Podcast is the best there is.
I just want to say a couple of things about some of the topics that were spoken about about I wasn’t able to chime in about.
First about Combiner Wars Devastator. I loved it when this guy was first annouced. Now I am not so sure about him. I feel about him now about how I felt about Combiner Wars Defensor. I think the individual bots look truly great. But the combined mode…. leaves a lot to be said about. Granted they more than likely were shown transformed right, but still they both looked like they needed improvemnts. Which if they are released and look like what we saw I am sure that a 3rd party company will take care of the problems. Like what Perfect Effect is doing for Superion and Menasor.
Also about the Combiner Wars Leader Class Megatron upgrades. I am like Gabe on him I want to see what happens to him in Tank mode. Will they work with his tank mode well and improve anything? Have to wait and see. Otherwise I think his robot mode upgrade looks very sweet!!!
Also I wanted to speak on Perfect Effect Leonidos . I think he looks pretty sweet. However I am getting a vibe on 2 other series. Namely Zoids for his beast/ lion mode ( I think of Liger Zero or Schnieder /Blade Liger ) and of Gundam (mostly get the idea of Exia form Gundam OO ) for his robot mode. That could just be me for liking those shows as well as Transformers, but just what I get from the figure.
Also on the Jorcon B.A.T figure . I agree looks bad. However I do like the idea of them trying to combine the lines. But on that note I would rather see 2 lines get made. One being a wave of figures from the Image comics version of the Transformers vs G.IJOE. Being I would love to see Prime as a Cobra HISS Tank not to mention Sunstreaker and Sideswipe as the Cobra Jeep ( Truck with the 4 missiles on the back), and the Seekers as COBRA Rattlers. I also would love to see a line from the Dreamwave comics of the Transformers and G.I.JOE comics from 2003. The series where the JOES and Bots are in the World War II time period and the bots look the part. Meaning they look like they should for that time period and technology. Not to mention Grimlock is a tank and foes a little AT-At walk at on point. I think think both these lines would be really awesome. Would love to know what you guys think.
Lastly I want to speak on the Renderform weapons that are there for the Combiner Wars Stunticons. I really like them. Though the price is high and not taking anything away from the man creating them. It is something I would love but it is also something I can’t afford right now. I would love to get them, but I wouldn’t be surprised by Perfect Effect or some other 3rd party to come out with another upgrade set that is just the weapons for them.
But once again guys Congrates on reaching 100 episodes !!! I am looking forward to the future of the Transmissions Podcast. I see this show going to 200 , 300 , 400 , 500 , 600 , 700, 800, 900, and 1,000 episodes. And I do hope I can be a part of it.
I’m really impressed after seeing all that goes on behind the scenes. You guys deserve props for being able to usher a cohesive show out of a situation that had such chaotic potential. Things could have easily been degenerated into discussions of G.I. Joe or card-playing prostitutes. Thank goodness sanity prevailed. 😉
All kidding aside, I was honored to join the Transmissions team. It was a great time and I look forward to talking Transformers with you all again. That also applies to my fellow Piledrivers™.

Haha, yeah. That’s a reference to feedback I left awhile back. It was around the time a few listeners decided on “Tranceivers”. I tried to lead an inuendo-filled revolution that didn’t pan out. It all ended with me being dubbed “Dirty Sanchez”. It was all in good fun, of course.
