Wahoo, first to comment! Another enjoyable episode to get me through part of a nighshift.
The oversized KO Toy World thorttle bots can be bought at http://www.chimungmung.com.
There is also an oversized KO Planet X swoop as well.
It’s weird having unofficial products being KO’d like this. What’s the market?
Not wanting to start up the IP enfringment debate, but I really like how Vangelus summed up the MakeToys Computron.
He considers MakeToys as a homage to Computron yet doing it’s only thing and with minor changes could it’s own original figure.
I think this is where good 3rd Party companies need to go and a solid example of this is FansProjects Steelcore.
Now IF money isn’t an issue…do you pick the larger combiner that’s more G1 IP enfringing or the one that’s unquie and tipping it’s cap to the source material.
For me MakeToys and FansProject styling really does it for me, where as I could really careless for Warbotron styling.
Ok that MP wheeljack face reveal is weird….the Optimus face reveal is just disturbing. I can’t un-see that now…thanks guys!
Hey guys, Bert the Stormtrooper here,
That face reveal on MP Wheeljack is great, but I kinda wish it would have looked more like Wheeljack from the TF Prime series.
Anyway, here’s an image of MP-01 Optimus’ face reveal, based on an old Marvel comic where he got blown up pretty badly;

You have to completely dismantle the figure’s head so I don’t recommend you try to see it for yourself on your own figure 😉
Great show as always! Cant wait till next week!

I really don’t think Beelzeboss’s jet will cut into any profits for Hasbro’s Alpha Bravo. Because Alpha Bravo is only about $15, most collectors who buy the Beelzeboss jet will ALSO buy Alpha Bravo.
Beelzeboss could probably start work on their jet with only the high resoluction images of Alpha Bravo that Hasbro released online already. They were HUGE. http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/0/5/9/7/Alpha-Bravo-bot_1406240954.jpg
I agree with the host who said that this is more an add-on kit for Superion than anything else, and Hasbro generally are friendly to add-on kits that enhance their figures.
I think the reason Hasbro would want a helicopter is because they do not want a wave of all similar looking jets on the shelves at the same time. They need to break it up. I think Hasbro owns the character of Slingshot, but they don’t have trademark on the name. It’s too common a word and they have not used it in ages. They always replace Slingshot with another name. When did they use it last for a figure? G2 in 1994? 20 years ago!
Transmissions team, thank you for responding to my question last episode. Your answers regarding the proliferation of combiners was…sufficient. I may post more questions in the future.
I have heard from Transformer toys reviewers on YouTube that the major downside to rubber tires is that they tend to crack when exposed to dry air. Has anyone had a problem with that and how much does anyone really care if their figures have rubber or plastic wheels?
I have had rubber tired break on RiD Optimus Prime.
My RID Prime & Magnus have cracked tires. As does G1 Sunstreaker. I like rubber tires as much as any vintage toy enthusiast, but I’ve come to prefer the shift to plastic since it gives the figure more longevity. It’s the lack of paint on newer figures that makes me feel swindled.
I have to agree with you about the digital copies. I am all for things being simpler for travel and convenience. But I like prefer the actual copy. I have been collecting them since I was a kid. I will always remember the thrill of spending the time walking to my nearest Shopette ( Military store ) “Dad was in army” or PX or the Paper Heros ( local comic shop) in search of Transformers Comics. Also getting the back issues that I missed. And then the joy of finding that issue that you were wanting. Now I can still find the back issues by the internet (www.mycomicshop.com and Ebay). Also my local Comic shop here for the new issues. It just not the same of having the physical copy to the digital one. Example my G1 Marvel 1# is worth more to me personally that getting the digital one. I also think getting a physical copy of a single issue of say Marvel #1 will be worth more in 10 years that an entire series of the Marvel comics in the digital version. I will continue to collect the Physical copies in both individual and trade paper back for years to come.
Its really odd to be mentioned on a podcast. And you guys and I keep crossing paths. Looking forward to tfcon!
I don’t know what they put in the rubber of G1 toys but when Hasbro tried it again in RID (looking at you Fire convoy) well it’s realy hard to find Prime or Ultra Magnus with tires that ARE NOT cracked or missing.
Now I’d hope we’ve advanced enough with tech/manufactoring techniques to over come that issue.
Ok, this is somewhat shameful for me, feedback in the wrong place, well I hope I find the right target to place bombing run two on:
it’s time for another “book bombing/comments questions” run today …oh yesssss…
And yes I have listened to it twice today, once for enjoyment and one for notes..again.
Comments:
The pre banter was fun, HOWEVER, I did not enjoy is as much/like hearing it twice, once during the intro/pre show and during the actual show, I guess, I like the outtakes that normally make it to the “cutting room floor” I do enjoy it/ those MUCH more then hearing them twice! (I also felt the same way about the g-1 cartoon based comic book podcast as well, I felt I was hearing it twice, not that that was bad or anything… but hey I listened to it twice to #69 today, so whom am I to complain!?,….by Friday it was three times).
Is there a reason the #69 and Yoshi is a worrisome combination to me? I did enjoy it but ya know…it Yoshi…
I really did enjoy C beast topic talk about the combiner wars /figs remold potential and stuff, I felt he hit the nail right on the head!, the re mold potential and all…this relates to a question I have…yes Charles I have yet to drop those questions bombs.
I’m glad Big c caught the fort max head switch on the cover, but it did go on in those comics issues as well a few times.
I do believe the catalogs called apeface and snapdragon horricons as well, that’s where I remember first reading it.
Loose joints on legs on figures, well it IS ep #69 after all…just saying.
“bow-chicka-wa-wa”…what ..oh that means your..ahem “popping” something for the first time…in this case opening the figure I hope,(did not yet see the vid,I know “BAD fan” ill watch it soon, PROMISE!!).
Uncapping/ zip Yoshi…yep again ep #69…not to be too surprised here.
No yoshi you don’t have to stop tweeting the cigar smoking pics and all but I do want you all to be around a lot longer if I had my wish and all, last feedback was a bit of a rant, but factual non the less
Yes I have started spreading the word about the g-1 comics to friends and all, im pulling my weight!
The ducks in a row…yep you went there.. They are not forgotten, just VERY HARD to find the time to tend to them, well Jeremy you have a new child and so do you c beast and barr..i mean big c… well time is something you don’t have in too much abundance when children factor in.i just will get to them a little at a time I give you my word I am putting fort great effort to this cause, just finding the time to do it is a bit of trouble. My little “gridlet” is a bit of a handful on her own!
I feel I have to call this out, I was a little heart broken when some of the stuff was not said on the show, BUT AGAIN my passion for the show is so…well its so large (no not the that’s what she said thing here)… that until something else comes along well, this will have to do… for now.….“chaarles”…
Just who are the first biggest six fans? I had better be one of them,BigC said I was there first super fan before there were such a thing, and I still have the tweet to prove it!..“chaarles”…
Oh yes if anyone knows a way to get a kabaya kit g-1 overlord (how is he g-1 I don’t know, see last week’s comments on this) PLEASE let me know im looking for a price tag around $10-15, captured prey was out when I last checked.
Oh and I don’t know if this is fate, planed or just how it was, BUT I believe his name is “Jii” on the moon base two podcast, around the 1:00, 1:01 mark on time he used the word “deckal….again, I don’t know if it was planned or not mocking C beast or what ever, but its there none the less..
C beast, you owe me one….
A podcast about hookers and blackjack, hmmm im not too good at card games, and I NEVER had to “pay to play” back in my day….Honey you’re not home, are you?
OK, OK, I narrowed them down to just 3 this week, I’ll try and be a good fan here…whimper…
Qusetions:
Yosh, if you did not like the headmasters origin ex the autobots get headmasters then the decepticons get them later, level up, then counter level up, then what did you feel about the us cartoon doing it the way they did? I feel it was JUST a tad different but much the same and they had only 3 eps to do it in!
Do you think the “G-1 cartoon based comic” will tie any loose ends the show may have had / or continue what happened after rebirth. there is a lot of room there for just that.
I do wonder if the construc a bots are along the level (for their target age group of course) sorta like the way the re molded the generations springer into sandstorm the retooling re engering fact point, I wonder if Hasbro will do this more often EX: alpha bravo into blades and vortex, just “reshelled” so to speak.

BTW my mother in law say’s i can INDEED write a book!
