  1. Thanks for calling that Evasion Mode Optimus Prime upgrade from DX9 by it’s proper homage, God Ginrai. He’s not Powermaster Optimus Prime, it has all the parts unique to God Ginrai. This is being made by a Chinese company, I’m sure they know Masterforce TV show more than they know the Marvel comics. I’d love to see a super mode armor for the Toyworld Orion.

A lot of Cheetimus’ customs have either been made into toys, or appeared in the club comic stories. I think they have to admit his work inspires a lot of that stuff. Also there is a guy named WhiteMocha on TFW2005 who did a whole bunch of digibashs of Botcon ideas over the years. Many of his ideas have been used by the club. http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-fan-art/240499-botcon-2010-ideas-digibashes.html

That third party Unicron head you mentioned was announced as canceled a while ago, sadly. Detritis is a Junkion mercenary ehobby toy.

I was surprised they didn’t allow video or photographs of the Auto Assembly third party panel, but then I found out it was actually hosted by some of the designers of the toys, who I know use aliases to hide their identity… I wonder if maybe they don’t want their pictures taken?

  2. ◦Darryl , you keep saying it’s 100% complete… except for the missing parts. Not being picky, but that’s that’s not complete.

BTW – Do you know who voiced Tank on Challenge of the GoBots? A guy named Peter Cullen!

  3. You guys asked if Hasbro would do the Combaticons again after having just done them two years ago??? This is the company who makes 14 Optimus Primes and 16 Bumblebees a year, right?

Oh, and that Bold Forms Gladius/Megatron is said to stand 22 centimeters tall, but MP10 Optimus Prime is 23 centimeters tall. I know a lot of people want it to be a stand in for MP Megatron, shape he’ll be slightly shorter than Optimus Prime.

Dammed poor c beast is getting torn apart!!!.
(Hang in there buddy, im rooting for ya!)

Great show as always guys, I loved the retro review of the headmasters comic (a tad short but was good none the less) GO YOSHI!!! …no I am not “fanboying” out, just love all the cast, yosh just happens to do the retro review that’s all.. GO TRANSMISSIONSPODCAST!!…see?
No let talk scale in tfs (yes I know this is a screwed topic but what the heck)
I do wish back in the day Hasbro would have kept close to some sort of “true scale “ but as a kid you don’t think of it too much, but as you get older you find out that the Tfs came from other toylines/molds/etc and there is no way that will ever happen.
I always thought it would be neat to have the scale start (again showing my age here some) with a micro machine sized bumblebee and go from there.

    Again, that’ll never happen.

But yes I agree that with the master piece scale it is a start. find a fixed point (mp-10) and work only from there, as far as a toy scale for the tfs that will be the closest thing well have I feel.

I however have conversed with Jim Sorenson on this very matter some in the past, and we have traded notes on our thoughts and feelings on tf (or the lack of a current) scale in any true form. I have even “corrected” and sent him a copy of the scale chart in the back of the transformers the ark vol 1, he seemed to agree with me on my notes,(hes a pretty cool guy so why would he not?) I myself consider me a “scale whor…ahem, gentleman of the evening” so this is something I do pay close attention to A LOT…more that you may ever know.

BTW this is not one of my “ducks” its close, but boy this pond is getting too cramped!! You guys know already I can write A LOT OF QUESTIONS, but Rest assured I have been here the whole time, quiet but here listening and taking notes, this is just the “short feedback” if you had told put a label on it. This will not be the last you read from me if I have anything to say/do about it…

  5. I was enjoying the toy new stuff until you guys were talking about your wives not getting it because “they’re girls” 8/ Probably not a good idea to alienate potential listeners like that.

    • Hi Stephanie, thanks for the feedback and for keeping us in check. We sometimes joke about the stereotypes with “boys’ toys” but we are definitely not saying girls and women can’t like Transformers. We celebrate and want to encourage more women to get interested in Transformers. We sometimes could be clearer when the humor is meant as satire and not to encourage or reinforce those stereotypes. We don’t want to alienate you or anyone else as a listener.

I agree, but im willing to go to bat for the guys, there was no intention to imply any wrong /ill will/doing on there part. i do feel female tf fans are often not thought of as part if the “norm” of tf fandom, but i like to think of them as,rare,or gems in the wild if you will,(its been some time but ill never forget the first time i saw a female tf fan holding a r.i.d. optimus prime toy,i admit i was then at the time in awe) but they are indeed out there ex:lady wreck (or what ever shes calling herself on Twitter nowdays) but i hope this does not turn you off on the podcast to the guys,i like to think there a pretty good group, maybe a little rough around the edges but all in all a good group of guys.i like ti this they value both sexes of/in the tf fandom all in all.

now if they get in trouble with there wifes however for this,well..,just dont cross them off yet.

  6. Great show guys. I was interested in the Shura King (not dinobot) combiner, but saw a preorder for it on BigBadToyStore for the Sludge figure for $114.99. I understand preorders on BBTS the price can change, but I cannot imagine anyone spending upwards of $600 for the full set.

  7. I have been hooked onto this podcast since Emgo was on here, and I listen to you guys every week! I work in a factory bending and punching copper for air conditioners all day, five days a week, so its gets a little droll but you guys make it enjoyable. I like the chemistry you all have, you guys even inspired me to make my own podcast show! I grew up in the beast wars era so I never got to see G1 until I was older and when I finally saw it… (Sorry for saying this) the only character from G1 I could stand was soundwave. And you guys have even got me wanting to read comics, something I never thought I would do, since I always read Japanese Manga. Keep up the great work guys! This is my favorite podcast show to listen to!
